The social way to building business.
Building Business with Social Media
Social Oasis is a social media management service provided by Oasis Grafx.
Businesses large and small have experienced increased brand recognition through social media. Small roaming food vendors use social media to alert their followers to arrival times at their next stop. One of the first trucks that started the most buzz is L.A.'s Kogi BBQ. Kogi serves Korean BBQ in tacos, torta sandwiches, burritos and other unique food items. As their trucks roam all about L.A, Kogi posts a tentative schedule of stops on Facebook and Twitter alerting customers to where they will be on a certain day and time. Kogi trucks most always arrive with a crowd waiting to be served.
Often it's Tweets that are driving customers to the food vendor destinations. Another example of successful marketing through social media is the Denver Cupcake Truck. Their customers are following them on Facebook, Twitter, and a blog on which DCT posts updates of where they are, will be, how long they'll be in a spot, and almost sold out messages.
Some of the smartest big brands in Social Media include: Burger King through Facebook; Starbucks through their blog; Sun Microsystems' through its CEO blog; IBM through a network of blogs; Zappos through Twitter; Comcast on Twitter; Blendtec on YouTube; Dell is all over the social media map; Adobe on Delicious; Best Western through a blog; JetBlue uses social media as part of its training; and the list goes on.
